Skin Cancer
Mohs reconstruction
This 65 year old man presented to Dr. Choe with a suspicious lesion on his right lower lid, which was promptly biopsied and identified as basal cell carcinoma. After undergoing Mohs surgery to remove the cancer, he saw Dr. Choe to reconstruct the defect, which involved the full thickness of his lid and part of his tear duct. It was determined that the size necessitated a full thickness skin graft harvested from his upper lid and a tarsoconjunctival flap to reconstruct the inner structure of the eyelid. The patient was followed closely in the post op interim and had noticeable improvement in the surgical site at every visit. [After photo is at 30 weeks post op]

Mohs reconstruction
This is a 56 year old female patient presenting with basal cell carcinoma on the inner corner of her left upper lid. After undergoing Mohs surgery, Dr. Choe reconstructed the resulting defect via a tissue flap that hides in the natural folds of the skin. The scar will continue to settle and blend in with time. Skin Cancer
Mohs reconstruction
This is a 60 year old female who had been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on the inner corner of her right upper lid. She underwent Mohs surgery to remove the skin cancer and was left with a sizable defect. This was repaired by Dr. Choe the same day using a flap technique. During the healing process, Dr. Choe carefully observed and treated the scar, which will continue to settle and heal with time. (After photo at 25 weeks post op)
Skin Cancer
Mohs reconstruction
This is a 76 year old man who presented with a basal cell carcinoma involving the right lower lid. He underwent Mohs excision of the cancer resulting in a quarter sized defect. This was repaired successfully with a flap which yielded great cosmetic results. (After photo at 12 weeks post op)
