This is a 65 year old female who noticed that her eyes were half shut because of her droopy eyelids (ptosis), rather than excess eyelid skin. She had a history of wearing hard contact lenses which contributed to the ptosis. The patient underwent ptosis repair via a small incision in the upper eyelid crease under local anesthesia. After the surgery, she not only noticed improvement in her peripheral vision, but also others said that she looks happier and more awake. (After photo at 5 weeks post op)

This is a 78 year old male who had severe droopy eyelids due to ptosis causing obstruction of his peripheral vision. He did not have any visually significant dermatochalasis or extra skin. Thus, a small incision ptosis repair was performed and he noted improvement in his vision in addition to a “more awake” appearance while retaining a natural look. (After photo at 7 weeks post op)
