Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair
This is a 72 female who had visibly significant dermatochalsis (excess upper lid skin) and ptosis (droopy eyelids), more so on the right upper lid. This led to her raising her brows in order to read. She also had positive herring’s, which caused her left upper lid to drop when the right upper lid was lifted. Dr. Choe determined it would be best to do a bilateral blepharoplasty and ptosis repair. After a short recovery, the patient was highly satisfied with the results. (After photo at 7 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair of the right upper lid
This patient is a 70 year old male with bilateral dermatochalsis (excess lid skin) and a right upper lid ptosis (droopy eyelid). He noticed that raising his brows lifted the skin out of his periphery, allowing him to see more. He underwent a blepharoplasty and ptosis repair, resulting in a great improvement in his vision and quality of life. (After photo at 6 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair
This 68 year old female presented with longstanding dermatochalasis (excess eyelid skin), which limited her peripheral vision and consequently made it more difficult to read and drive. When she lifted her brows, she was able to see more light. After a blepharoplasty, she noted her peripheral vision was restored and she no longer needed to constantly raise her brows. Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Temporal cosmetic brow lift
This is a 57 year old female who complained of decreased peripheral vision, which greatly impacted both her work and hobbies. When she raised her brows, things appeared brighter and clearer. She also could no longer wear mascara noting her upper lid skin obscured her eyelashes. Dr. Choe recommended a functional blepharoplasty to correct the dermatochalasis (excess eyelid skin) and a cosmetic brow lift with a hidden scar at the hairline to improve her brow position and smooth her forehead lines. After an easy out-patient surgery with local anesthesia, the patient was highly satisfied noting an improved quality of life and feeling more comfortable with her appearance. Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair
This 77 year old female patient presented with visual impairment from her excess eyelid skin (dermatochalasis) and droopy eyelids (ptosis), more noticeable on the right side. She was unable to open her eyelids by themselves and had to use her finger to physically move them out of the way, which greatly increased the brightness and clarity of her vision. After a short recovery following a blepharoplasty and ptosis repair, she was highly satisfied with the results. (After photo at 8 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper and Lower blepharoplasty with Cosmetic brow lift
This is a 66 year old female who saw Dr. Choe for her drooping eyelids, which were limiting her vision and the amount of light she was able to see. The dermatochalasis (excess eyelid skin) affected her ability to do everyday tasks and hobbies. She was also bothered by her lower lid bags and descending brow position as they both contributed to her increasingly tired and stern appearance. She decided to pursue an upper lid blepharoplasty in addition to a cosmetic lower lid blepharoplasty and brow lift with an incision hidden in the hairline. The patient is very happy with her results, increasing the clarity in her vision and refreshing her appearance without being unnatural. (After photo at 5 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper and lower lid Blepharoplasty with Ptosis repair
This is a 64 year old female who had significantly droopy upper eyelids due to dermatochalasis (excess skin) and ptosis (droopy eyelids). She was also interested in pursuing a cosmetic lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Before surgery, she had some swelling in the lower eyelids that was suggestive of a complication from prior filler. Dr. Choe dissolved it by injecting a hyaluronidase with good improvement. After surgery, the patient noticed improvement in both appearance and peripheral vision. (After photo at 29 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair
This is a 66 year old female who had severe droopy eyelids due to a combination of dermatochalasis (excess skin) and ptosis (droopy eyelids) causing severe obstruction of her peripheral vision. She has been taping her eyelids up for years, but even that was starting to be insufficient to give her the vision she needed to function in her job and day-to-day life. She underwent upper blepharoplasty and ptosis repair under local anesthesia and afterwards no longer had to struggle and strain to open her eyes to see and function. (After photo at 12 weeks post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Cosmetic brow lift
This is an 81 year old female who had significant droopy eyelids due to excess skin, diagnosed as dermatochalasis. She also had developed a stern look due to her brows dropping. She underwent upper blepharoplasty surgery and cosmetic brow lift with a concealed scar at the hairline, which increased her peripheral vision. Her resulting brow position also better framed her now unobscured eyes, giving her a more youthful and brighter appearance. (After photo at 10 week post op)
Combination Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty and Ptosis repair
This patient is an 82 year old male who had visually significant ptosis (droopy eyelids) and dermatochalasis (excess eyelid skin). He had to raise his eyebrows to lift the eyelid skin up, but his droopy lids still obstructed the top half of his vision. The patient did very well after both blepharoplasty surgery and ptosis repair and was very happy with the results. (After photo at 5 weeks post op)
